It is with great pleasure and delight that I welcome you to Doruka Ministries Uganda, a not-for-profit initiative founded in 2016 to support underprivileged children, particularly young girls. We focus on providing relevant education, skills development, innovative healthcare, and livelihood programs to transform lives. Due to the rising number of orphaned children in Uganda who have lost parents to HIV/AIDS, accidents, and other diseases, many face homelessness and lack education due to domestic challenges.
Doruka Ministries was established to empower the next generation and has made a significant impact through activities benefiting young girls and orphans. As the founder and visionary, despite challenges as a not-for-profit, our vision remains clear. We strive to ensure these children are empowered, skilled, fed, educated, and uplifted. Doruka Ministries envisions advancing the lives of disadvantaged children through holistic education, spiritual growth, and economic and social development. Our mission includes providing hope to vulnerable children, especially orphans, through sponsorships for school fees, food, shelter, clothing, and medical care. We also support vulnerable women, teenage mothers, widows, and youth with income-generating skills via vocational training and mentorship.
We aim to build well-equipped infrastructure, including a school, to promote quality education for children and adults. Additionally, we implement health education programs focusing on sanitation and hygiene for youth and young girls. Our goal is to create family homes for orphans, teaching self-reliance to break the cycle of poverty in Uganda, particularly in areas affected by HIV/AIDS.
Unlike traditional orphanages, we believe children thrive in loving family environments with a mother and father. Each family lives in a 3,000-square-foot, six-bedroom, three-bathroom home, where children receive love, wholesome meals, clean water, education, healthcare, and learn of God’s love. Through transparency, impartiality, and passion, we support multiple projects to transform orphans’ lives. Your contributions to Doruka help us expand this vital work.
