Doruka Ministries is a Christian humanitarian programme founded in 2016 and operating under the legally registered Theos Transforming Ministries. Separate registration for Doruka is planned as the work develops.
Under the leadership of Minister Nalongo Nakasiita Josephine, Doruka has supported 150 boys and girls over time. Fifty children remain under the programme, while 20 beneficiaries currently receive active assistance because available funding has reduced. Approximately 200 people are waiting for support.
Doruka serves communities in Rakai, Kampala, Iganga and Buyende through education sponsorship, food and nutrition support, medical assistance, clothing and uniforms, vocational training, spiritual mentorship, and support for teenage mothers, widows, vulnerable women and youth. It serves vulnerable children, women and youth through education, nutrition, healthcare, skills development, spiritual mentorship and livelihood support. Doruka currently works in Rakai, Kampala, Iganga and Buyende. Its principal operating location is Lubimba Village, Kiweeka Parish, Lwamaggwa, Rakai District.
Founder and Visionary
Minister Nalongo Nakasiita Josephine
Minister Nalongo Nakasiita Josephine is the founder and vision bearer of Doruka Ministries. Her calling is to restore hope, dignity and practical opportunity to children and families facing poverty and vulnerability. She leads the vision, programme direction, partnership engagement and community mobilisation.

Proposed Family-Home and Skilling Centre
Doruka proposes to develop a family-home and practical skilling centre on approximately half an acre at Lubimba Village. The land is owned by the vision bearer and is available for donation to the project. The preliminary concept is a 3,000-square-foot, six-bedroom centre. The estimated construction requirement is US$50,000. The centre is planned and has not yet been constructed.
Education Sponsorship
Doruka supports school fees, uniforms, books and scholastic materials. The current planning estimate is approximately US$50 per child per year, although actual costs vary by school and location. A programme serving 200 children would require an estimated US$10,000 annually, subject to verification and school documentation.
Vocational Training
The vocational programme aims to equip women and youth with practical income-generating skills. The initial target is 50 participants over six months. The preliminary estimate is US$100 per person per month, including training-related welfare and monitoring, giving an estimated six-month requirement of US$30,000.
Cattle and Poultry Livelihood Projects
Doruka plans cattle and poultry projects to strengthen household livelihoods, practical training, food security and long-term programme sustainability. Detailed quantities, technical designs and budgets will be finalised with qualified implementation partners before funding or procurement.

Partners may support a child’s education, vocational training, nutrition, healthcare, livelihoods, safeguarding systems or the proposed centre. Doruka welcomes churches, foundations, companies, development organisations and individual sponsors.

Reports and Accountability
Doruka is committed to maintaining beneficiary registers, attendance and programme records, receipts and expenditure records, activity reports, photographic evidence where consent is available, and periodic partner updates. Restricted beneficiary information will not be published publicly. Formal reports will be added to this section as programmes are completed and verified.
Safeguarding
Doruka is committed to protecting children and vulnerable adults from abuse, exploitation, neglect and discrimination. Staff, volunteers, visitors and partners are expected to respect confidentiality, obtain appropriate consent, avoid private or exploitative contact with beneficiaries, and report concerns promptly. Safeguarding concerns may be reported directly to the ministry leadership using the contact details below. Allegations will be documented and referred to the appropriate authorities where required.
