Ex 8:25-10
Nehemiah 4
Neh.4.1 – But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.
Neh.4.2 – And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?
Neh.4.3 – Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, if a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall.
From the above we can draw that Satan loves it when we delay in whatever we do
Satan fears hedge/ fortification
He further fears transformation of man.
Now in your prayers, what are you supposed we to do?
TRANSFORMATION
From 2 words:
Trans & Formation
Satan fights as much he can to block transformation…he might have failed on the rest but on failing people to transform he’s succeeding.
He wants you to maintain the status quo of the old life.
Salvation is transformation and without it, then it’s a religion.
Imitating from Christ who had 4 faces
Every transformer should have such faces as hereunder;
- Lion face ( daring, wrath, etc
- Eagle ( spirituality, character)
- Man ( humanity….akoobuntu nobw’obuntu )
- Ox Servanthood ( able to serve others, humblesnes, meekness, working hard etc)
There’s a need to balance the 4 and then life will be easy.
Cause if you take it too far either way, you’ll fail
terribly in one of the areas.
Many prayer warriors are poor cause they neglect work ( Ox area )
Rom.8.29 – For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. —
He foreknew us and so he predestined us for partaking of the divine nature.
It’s our duty to be conformed to the image of his Son.
It will be total loss if we don’t transform.
We have our part to play
- At crusade, we are called to Christ and accept him…it’s a turn we make toward Christ…and it’s our call to make, nevertheless in our own we stop to at a certain level and we need aid…
- When we have struggled in our own and have failed, that is the point we should ask God to change us…
God indeed will surely Answer us and totally change us through complete practical sanctification.
When you’ve not attained complete transformation it’s easy to be defeated by the devil.
We should stay in Gods presence for full transformation, stay in fellowship, stay in church, stay in the word, stay in prayers.
Isa.59.9 – Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. —
We ought to transform for good…that’s the only way to go…it’s the only difference we shall have with the rest of the world.
Isa.59.10 – We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. —
Isa.59.11 – We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. —
Isa.59.12 – For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; —
Isa.59.13 – In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. —
If you’re to transform the following are inevitable;
1Cor.15.45 – And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. —
1Cor.15.46 – Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. —
- Natural firt then spiritual.
Matt.10.16 – Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
The above verse teaches us to learn the natural/ nature.
- Molting
More of shaking off the old through separation
Metamorphosis process
That can be learnt from a butterfly process
EGGS====LAVA===PUPA===ADULT===BATTERFLY
The second level ( lava) is unfriendly…
Its a stage of eating among which is the word of God and all that can help us grow…
Pupa stage has no food…so at the second stage you’ have to eat as much as you can…if you’ din’t utilize the time we’ll at the stage you’ll be affected
Fourths stage is flying ( adult) you’ll have to fly, but then what are you flying with???
Have you eaten enough to fly with to the rest of the world?
If you don’t transform
You won’t reach the last stage of flying
A chameleon is a unique animal worth of Christians to pick useful lessons especially the following.
- Color-changing ability: Chameleons have specialized cells in their skin called chromatophores that allow them to change color. ( this is achieved by concentrating on a desire object it wishes to be like.) this commends concentration among us.
- Long, sticky tongue: Chameleons have a long, sticky tongue that they use to catch prey. ( this teaches us to devise far reaching means of income to survive).
- Large, independently moving eyes: Chameleons have large eyes that can move independently of each other, allowing them to scan their surroundings. (this requires vigilance and looking Circumspectly Ephesians 5:15-17.
Unlike sickness where a person can be tested and a solution is found, it requires humility and wisdom to notice the scanty of knowledge in one’s own mind.
Isa.59.14 – Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.
Isa.59.15 – So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice.
When truths falls justices is pushed back, righteous behavior stands far away and integrity cannot enter.
It’s the presence of truth that dispose one to exercise justice. The far the righteous, is proportional the distance from the truth. This leaves integrity a fairy tales in one’s life.
Rom.5.5 – Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
It’s the titrated / practiced knowledge that builds the heart to exercise truth.
Ps.85.10 – Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed.
Isa.58.8 – Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.
It’s righteousness that leads us to peace and it’s absence leads to inner unrest.
Upon truth, justice, righteousness, mercy, peace and integrity that makes the glory of the Lord our rear guard.
Gal.6.17 – From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
