Purpose

This policy governs photographs, videos, audio recordings, interviews and testimonies used by Theos Transforming Ministries and Doruka Ministries.

Informed Consent

Consent must be voluntary, specific and understandable. The person should know what will be recorded, why it is needed, where it may appear, who may see it and whether names or locations will be used. For children, appropriate consent from a parent or lawful guardian is required together with the child’s assent where age and understanding allow.

Special Protection

We will avoid images or stories that shame, stereotype, expose private medical or family details, reveal unsafe locations or portray a beneficiary merely as an object of pity. Safeguarding concerns must never be used for publicity.

Testimonies

A testimony will not be published without permission. Editing may improve grammar or length but must not change the person’s meaning. Material involving healing, financial hardship or sensitive family circumstances requires additional care and should not promise guaranteed outcomes.

Withdrawal and Removal

Consent may be withdrawn for future use by contacting the ministry. We will make reasonable efforts to remove material from channels we control, although removal from printed items, third-party shares or archived systems may not always be possible.

Storage and Access

Original files and consent records must be stored securely, accessed only by authorised persons and retained only for a legitimate ministry, programme or accountability purpose.

No Improper Pressure

Assistance, prayer, school support or programme participation must not be made conditional on agreeing to public photography or testimony.

Questions or concerns may be sent to theostransformers@gmail.com. Doruka matters may also be sent to nakasiitajsphn@gmail.com or reported by telephone/WhatsApp on +256 701 497 913.
